Unwanted habits can be broken once you really want to break them. People recovering from alcohol and drug addiction often use hypnotherapists in their process. Habits such as biting your nails or grinding your teeth not only have the physical results of the habit, but one is left feeling more stressed. Unwanted habits and addictions can be eliminated through building new positive neuropathways replacing the negative thoughts, leading to a renewed sense of self. Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) is also one of the most effective strategies for making changes in both thoughts and behavior. With my clients permission, I include NLP in my client's sessions.
Negative cyclical thinking patterns can result in a feeling of depression or hopelessness. Becoming aware of these thoughts is the first step in changing your life. Your brain has a plasticity, in that it is able to rebuild new positive pathways leading to health and well-being. Seventy-five percent of all health issues can be traced to some form of negative thinking habits that are manifested in anxiety, stress, and worry. Working together we can attain the results you are looking for, such as health, joy, and peace. Addiction and substance abuse create serious physical and mental health problems not only for the person suffering from these issue, but also for their family and friends that love them. People connected to the user need help to sort out the thoughts of guilt, resentment, anger, fear, anxiety, and worry. Hypnotherapy is a tool used in many rehab centers and sober living centers. I was trained in the Kappasian model of hypnotherapy. My expertise in physical and emotional suggestibility, (E & P) gives me additional insights into the personalities of my clients who are effected by addictions.
